Privacy Policy

Telltwin lets you build an AI twin that chats in your voice, tells your story, and answers questions about you on your own page or website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Telltwin is operated by ENEL CONSULT EOOD ("Telltwin", "we", "us"). If you have any question about your data, email nikolay@telltwin.com.

Who we are

ENEL CONSULT EOOD is the company behind Telltwin and is responsible for the personal data described here (the data controller). Our registered office is Gen. Nikola Ivanov 10, Plovdiv 4002, Bulgaria, company number 206209311. You can reach us at nikolay@telltwin.com.

Who this policy covers

It covers two groups: people who create a twin (twin owners with a Telltwin account), and people who chat with a twin on someone's site or twin page (visitors). What we collect is different for each, so we describe them separately below.

What we collect, and why

If you build a twin

• Your email address. Used to create your account, send you a magic sign-in link, and send you occasional emails about your account, such as when your twin goes live or its allowance is running low. We do not ask for a password. Without your email you cannot sign in.
• Your twin's content. The answers you give in the setup interview, your persona text, tone settings, display name, tagline, greeting, and avatar. This is what your twin draws on to talk. Some of it is public by design: your display name, tagline, greeting, avatar, and your twin's replies appear on your twin's page and anywhere you embed it.
• Files you upload. Resumes, writing samples, and similar documents. We extract the text and store it so your twin can draw on it. Source files are kept in private storage that only you and the service can reach. An avatar image you upload is public.
• Billing details. If you subscribe to the Pro plan, Stripe processes your payment. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We never see or store your full card number.
• How you found us. When you sign up, we note which website sent you to Telltwin (just its name, such as linkedin.com, never the full address), the first page you landed on, and any campaign tag in the link you followed. We use it only to see which places bring people to Telltwin. Nothing is saved in your browser to do this.

If you chat with a twin

• Your messages and the twin's replies. We keep the conversation as it goes, so the twin can answer your next question in context. Without it the twin forgets what you said between one message and the next, and answers each question as though you had only just arrived. That is the only reason we hold it.
• Where it is kept, and for how long. In temporary storage run by Upstash, never in our database. It is filed under a random reference your browser is given when the conversation starts, and it deletes itself an hour after your last message. Send another message and the hour starts again. We do not keep that reference anywhere else and we do not connect it to you, so once your browser lets go of it (when you close or reload the page) nobody can look the conversation up. Coming back later starts a fresh conversation, and the twin will not remember you.
• Who can see it. Your messages go to our AI provider, which generates each reply (see below). Beyond that, there is no screen anywhere in Telltwin that shows an owner what a visitor said, and no report or notification that summarizes it. We do not use your conversation to build a profile of you, to advertise to you, or to train an AI model. A small number of our people can reach the temporary storage in order to keep the service running.
• Technical data for abuse prevention. We use your IP address to enforce rate limits so twins are not spammed or run up costs. It is held briefly by our rate-limiting provider as a counter and expires automatically within minutes. We do not keep it in our database or use it to identify you.

Cookies and browser storage

We use a single cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. We do measure aggregate page views and page performance using Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Both are cookieless: they record that a page was visited and how quickly it loaded, not who visited it, and they do not follow you to other sites.

Chatting with a twin sets no cookie. The reference that ties your messages together is held in the page's memory while the page is open and is not written to your browser's storage. A twin's own page does remember one thing there: whether you chose the light or dark view, so it looks the same next time.

How AI processes your twin

Your twin's content and the messages visitors send are processed by our AI providers (Anthropic, and OpenRouter when it routes the request) to generate replies. We configure these services so that your data is not used to train their models.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We rely on a small set of service providers to run Telltwin, and share only what each one needs to do its job:

• Vercel. Hosting, content delivery, and the cookieless page-view and performance measurement described above.
• Supabase. Accounts, database, and file storage.
• Anthropic (Claude). Generating your twin's replies.
• OpenRouter. Routing requests to the AI model, when enabled.
• Upstash. Rate limiting and abuse prevention, and the temporary storage that holds a chat while it is going on.
• Stripe. Subscription payments.
• Resend. Sending account emails.
• Sentry. Error monitoring, so a crash reaches us instead of only you. It gets the error, where it happened, and sometimes an account id. We turn off personal data collection, so it does not get your email, your cookies, or anything you said to a twin. No session recording.

Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy. Some are based outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

• Account and twin data: for as long as your account is open. You can unpublish your twin at any time, and deleting it removes it and its data.
• Uploaded files: until you delete them or close your account.
• Chat messages: deleted an hour after the last message in the conversation, from temporary storage. Never written to our database, and never visible to the twin's owner.
• Rate-limiting data: expires automatically within minutes.
• Billing records: kept as long as we need them for accounting and legal obligations.

When you close your account we delete or anonymize your personal data, except for anything we are legally required to keep, such as payment records.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including under the EU and UK GDPR. You can:

• ask for a copy of the data we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete your account and your data,
• export your data,
• object to or restrict certain uses of it.

You can do most of this yourself from your dashboard. For anything else, email nikolay@telltwin.com and we will help. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Telltwin is not intended for people under 16. Please do not create an account or a twin if you are younger than that.

Security

We keep uploaded source files in private storage, never store full card numbers, and limit who can access data. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and move the "last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we will take extra steps to let you know.
